A one-day cookery workshop was organized at Jaihind College of Science (Hotel Management) in Salgaon. In today’s competitive world, mere rote learning is insufficient to secure a job. Skill-based education is increasingly essential.
Jaihind College conducts various skill development programs throughout the academic year, one of which is the cookery workshop. This workshop featured demonstrations of mocktails, Indian dishes, and continental dishes, with 25 students participating.
Pravin Prabhu Keluskar, Senior Executive of Lokmanya Education, Konkan Region, emphasized the importance of skill-based education for the future. Principal Mr. Ameya Mahajan, Chef Terry Disa, and Chef Aishwarya Karandikar guided the students. All participants were awarded certificates.
