Konkan’s food culture is very extensive. It has a special dish made in particular for every festival and it is a special attraction of that festival. Nowadays the younger generation is craving burgers and pizza. Today’s youth generation should know about authentic Malvani traditional foods in Konkan and to make them, a workshop was held in Jai Hind College of Science Salgaon to make authentic traditional foods in Konan, rice ghavan, coconut juice shirwale was made. The workshop was a feature of the participation of local skilled trainers as suggested in National Educational Policy 2018. Local lady s.a. Tejasvi Nandan Teli and Mrs. Rajani Sanjay Shirsat trained students to make ghavan and shirwale and taught them the nutritional value of it. Hundred.
